Characteristics
2024 aluminum plate has high compressive strength and good temperature resistance. It can be used as parts that work below 150°C. When the temperature is higher than 125°C, the compressive strength of the 2024 aluminum plate is higher than 7075 aluminum alloy.
The 2024 aluminum sheet has better forming properties in the heat treatment state, annealing and new quenching state. The strengthening effect of heat treatment is remarkable. But the heat treatment process requirements are strict.
The corrosion resistance of 2024 aluminum plate is poor. Covering with pure aluminum can effectively avoid cracks during welding. The 2024 aluminum plate can be welded or riveted by a special process.
