5CrNiMnMoVSCa belongs to high-toughness precision plastic mold steel with free cutting.5CrNiMnMoVSCa steel has small heat treatment deformation and good toughness under high hardness (above 50HRC). And has good ability to prevent crack propagation.

Heat treatment
Thermal processing
Heating temperature 1100℃. Initial forging temperature 1070~1100℃. Final forging temperature 850℃. Sand cooling after forging.
Spheroidizing Annealing
Heating temperature 770℃, holding for 3h. Isothermal temperature 660℃, holding for 7h. Furnace cooling to 550℃, air cooling. Annealed hardness ≤ 241HBS, good processing performance.
Quenching
Quenching temperature 880~900℃. Take the lower limit for small pieces and the upper limit for large pieces. Oil cooling or 260℃ nitrate grade quenching.
5CrNiMnMoVSCa Steel Application
1. 5CrNiMnMoVSCa steel can be used as injection mold, compression mold, rubber mold, printed board punching mold with complex cavity and high cavity quality requirements. The effect is remarkable. It can improve the life of the mold by 3-4 times.
2. For the manufacture of printed circuit board die.
3. It is used for large, medium and small high-precision molds. Such as tape recorders, washing machines and other plastic molds.
