Heat treatment

The phase transformation points of Cr2Mn2SiWMoV steel are: AC1770°C, Ac3740°C, Ar1640°C, Ar3605°C, Ms190°C.
The initial forging temperature of Cr2Mn2SiWMoV steel is 1020~1040°C. The final forging temperature is 850°C, and it is cooled slowly after forging.

Incomplete annealing
Heating at 790~810°C. After holding for 2~3h, rapidly at 670~690°C isothermal, then rise to 700~720°C isothermal, and then cool down to below 500°C with the furnace and release the furnace ~269HBSAc1770°C, Ac3810°C. Heating The temperature should be between Acl~Ac3.

Isothermal spheroidizing annealing
Heating at 780~800°C, holding for 2~3h, isothermal at 700~720°C. After cooling in the furnace below 500°C, the oven is empty. ℃. To obtain granular pearlite tissue.

Quenching
Heating at 850~870℃, keeping warm, air cooling 60~63HRC, quenching heating temperature is higher than Ac3. It helps to dissolve Cr, Mn, S and a small amount of W and Mo elements, improve hardenability and improve tempering stability. However, the carbides of V are not dissolved, which refines the grains, and the carbides of a small amount of undissolved elements of W and Mo also refine the grains to maintain strength and toughness, while improving hardness and wear resistance.
The carbide precipitation of tempered W and Mo elements increases the secondary hardening effect. Mo element can eliminate temper brittleness.
Heating: 830~850℃, keep warm. Oil cooling 60~63HRC

Tempered
Heating: 180~200°C, holding for 2h. Furnace cooling 60~62HRC. Emphasize the lower limit of hardness. Emphasize the upper limit of toughness

Cr2Mn2SiWMoV Steel Application

Cr2Mn2SiWMoV steel is mainly used to manufacture precision cold stamping dies. Its service life can exceed Cr12 die steel.Due to its good dimensional stability, it can also manufacture precision measuring tools that need small heat treatment deformation. Slender rod-shaped parts and machine tool guides that need high precision and high wear resistance.

Cr2Mn2SiWMoV steel is also used in the manufacture of die for punching rivet holes. Duplex die for blanking and punching. Single-slot die for silicon steel sheets.
